If you’re traveling for business or to a formal event, the biggest thing on your mind while you’re packing is probably keeping your clothing pressed like they were before going in the case. A regular suitcase probably isn’t going to do that for you. Garment bags keep clothing flat and don’t let important items get attacked by other clothes, shoes or toiletries.
The handy and kind of spiffy thing about garment bags is that, even though they’re tall, they fold over so that they can be carried more easily. Some are on wheels so that they can roll around while others have fancy locking mechanisms to keep your hangers in place.
