Rockland 2-Piece Luggage Review

Rock Out For The Right Price With Rockland

My weekends are precious to me, and although I consider myself to be organized when it comes to my things, I’m not that great when it comes to organizing visits. This is why (when I do get away), everything gets thrown into the car at a moment’s notice. I rarely do anything fancy so I don’t need to pack much other than jeans and a few shirts. I don’t need a lot of fancy, expensive or large luggage for these trips. Quite frankly, I don’t really need suitcases at all, but it’s just a lot more convenient than having a truck full of loose things.

Rockland Options

The Rockland 2 Piece Luggage Set offers two pieces of luggage on the smaller side. It comprises of one roll type suitcase that’s about 21 inches, and a small duffel which can be used as a carry-on (If you’re flying). Both are made out of polyester, and the set comes in more than 20 different colors and patterns. From loud and bright to muted solids, there is a set for just about any personal style.

The price of the set is fantastic at just under $40. Two pieces of luggage cost less than a dinner for two. Personally, I’d rather spend $40 on luggage I can use over and over than on one dinner in town! If I’m traveling with my husband, I’m the one who usually needs the smaller bag but sometimes my husband is, it depends on where we’re going. He tends to travel with a lot of long sleeved shirts, and the bigger suitcase has enough room for those. If I’m going somewhere where I’ll have to get dressed up, then I would use the roll type case, and he uses the small duffle. Because we’re likely to chop and change which bag we use, I think a set that’s on the neutral side in color would suit us best. That being said, the girly side of me wants ALL THE COLORS.

Rocking Back And Forth, Not Spinning All Around

The wheels on the carry-on sized bag are not spinners, so they are more like the older style bags that have been used for the last few decades. They work just as well even if you have to tip the bag some to wheel it around.

Doesn’t Feel Like You’re Hauling Rocks

The carryon bag is lightweight, topping out at about 6lbs. This may not be the set for regular flyers, but it judging by what I’ve researched it can take the beating of more than a handful of infrequent trips in and out of the overhead compartment.

Entry Level Standards May Not Rock Your Boat

Like many types of entry-level luggage, there are some reported issues with the zipper becoming jammed. Obviously, that makes it impossible to use the luggage because cases that don’t close are kind of useless. This issue is covered under warranty but remember you will have to pay for shipping.

Rockland Rates As Reasonable

Overall, this is probably not the set that should be used for intense, business-related travel, but for those of you who need a set of luggage to get them to the occasional destination by plane or car, the Rockland 2 Piece Luggage Set is, as far as I’m concerned, a safe bet.

If you like the idea of being able to choose from many colors or patterns, and need luggage that’s lightweight as well as inexpensive, roll on over to Amazon and pick up the pair.
